Working Craft Service Suite
The majority of interactive voice response units are reactive in nature. Providing the employees who work for you proactive notification changes the way they will interact with your organization. Can you imagine being able to tell an employee they will be able to attend their child's soccer game and if that changes, you will call them?
Currently, most railroads use an IVR to propagate information to the working crafts 24 hours per day. By moving to the CrewVue platform, the transactions that are currently being generated from the mainframe can be offloaded to less expensive mid-range software. In all cases, thousands of calls per day create a significant number of mainframe transactions. The Working Craft Service Suite provides a series of reports for the employees in the field. Some examples are:
- WatchME
- When is an employee expected to go to work based upon the current train schedules?
- How does that compare to a typical day?
- MyStart
- What happens if the first person in front of me lays off, how does that change my schedule?
- The second two people in front of me, etc.
- MyWindow
- After informing an employee of when they are expected to go to work, any change to that schedule greater than a personal preference results in an outbound phone call, email, page, etc
- Proactive Notification
- If an employee’s times out changes, inform them with an outbound page, phone call, etc.
iTrakForce Working Craft Service Suite will reduce mainframe transactions. Reductions will occur in the following areas:
- Train Lineup
- Board Standings
- Status changes
- Layoff Decisions
The iTrakForce Working Craft Service Suite provides immediate information about current standings at a very low cost. Improving the quality of life and the amount of rest an employee is able to obtain due to better information is an extremely important output from this system.
